First Year Modern English Language: SHORT BIBLIOGRAPHY
[Revised September 2000]
This list is for guidance only. There are many other books you could tackle. The Encyclopaedias by Crystal are an excellent place to start the study of any topic. Suggestions for reading are given at the end of the weekly units, and tutors may also stipulate further reading. The books from which the Study Pack readings are taken should also be explored further: full details are given in the Study Pack itself.
